For most parents, the ultimate fantasy is kicking back, relaxing, and maybe even getting an extra few minutes of much-needed sleep — all while the kids clean the house and do all of the housework. Well, one father from New Zealand is living the dream, as he pointed out on his Facebook page and YouTube channel, How to Dad.
As he has stated on Facebook, this nameless dad is simply trying to give "do it yourself parenting advice that you'll actually want to listen to," and he has some very amusing and somewhat helpful tricks up his sleeve. From potty-training an infant, to getting children to brush their teeth, there are more than a few lessons to be learned from this guy.
This particular clip, entitled "How to Get a Baby to Clean the House," follows the basic principal that most parents soon become aware of. In the words of the host, "They're babies, they will do anything, just ask them to do it." That approach may seem a little idealistic and kids will eventually grow out of it, but as we can see in this hilariously cute video, it actually does work with babies and it sometimes works quite well!
So, have your notebook and a pen ready and be prepared to take down some priceless tips on child rearing from this young father and his very young child. Worst case scenario, if the pointers he gives aren't that beneficial, at least you will get some laughs.
