Picking out a wedding venue can be seriously painstaking.
With guest lists, weather, size, and more so the bride and groom's tastes to keep in mind, it almost seems like there's nothing out there that can satisfy everyone!
Not to mention that venues are rarely cheap, and couples usually need to shell out some big bucks to reserve them months — or even years in advance!
This was the dilemma of Dylan LeValley and Jen Long, who were feeling a little bit overwhelmed with their finances when they began to plan their wedding.
But like any great couple, they got creative, like these underwater lovers, and found a solution for the perfect wedding venue on a dime — all they had to do was make it themselves!
Armed with patience, home improvement implements galore, and a backyard that already needed some serious TLC, they created the most adorable wedding venue!
Check below to see the backyard's gradual transformation into the couple's dream wedding destination!

When they bought the home in May, this Seattle couple wasn't quite sure what to do with their new backyard, which was crooked, dirty, and neglected.
But then, they got engaged!
While searching for venues and seriously sweating the prices, it suddenly dawned on them what they could do with the bland backyard.
So, they got busy tearing it down to make the wedding venue of their dreams!
They started from scratch, gutting the debris and weeds.
They made a beautiful plant bed and filled it with flowers to bloom in the future for the wedding.
They also added in grass, which significantly beautified the space — and provided pretty padding for their dog to run around on!
They then added in a beautiful deck for wedding guests and future lazy lounges.
The gentleman in charge of officiating even built an arbor for them to perform the ceremony under.
The deck served as a stage for the future wedding band — the fence was also installed brand-new!
The seriously stunning transformation also included a walkway for the bride and groom to march.
By the time the big day arrived, they had a completely new yard to show off to guests that doubled as a space for the ceremony and reception!
All their hard work culminated into a seriously spectacular setup — they cleaned up nicely, too!
Though their wedding venue required a lot more man-hours than most, their efforts produced one of the most unique and personal wedding days.
The tables were placed perfectly around the new leveled lawn, while the stage was completely perfect for the band — whose leader was the couple's best friend!
Though they definitely saved on the venue, they splurged a bit on the caterer who served local barbecue — though the silverware was thrifted!
Though they didn't shell out big bucks, the couple still spared no detail in order to make their dream wedding happen.
Their blood, sweat, and tears created the most beautiful self-created wedding ceremony, and we can't wait to see what they set their minds to next.
