Koi Saetern and her boyfriend Cu were going to have a date full of things that began with the letter "F." Koi expected to "fly high" in a hot-air balloon, then have a "fancy" breakfast, and end it with a walk through the "farmer's market" in Temecula, California.
Little did she know, Cu had other plans — and she almost thwarted them herself!
In the video below, Cu shot footage of their ride on the hot-air balloon, and he also captured the quite difficult attempts that he and their friends and family made to pull off a very unexpected surprise.
Once the couple had gotten into the hot-air balloon and had begun their descent with the rest of the riders, their pilot pointed out a group of people standing on the ground.
They were all holding signs.
After closer inspection, Koi realized the signs read "Will you marry me."
Her initial thought: "Hey, this could be for me!"
But when the pilot flew further and further away from those people on the ground, Koi and a few other people in the group began to laugh, as there was another hot-air balloon directly behind the sign holders, which was probably the one they should have been pointing their signs at.
Or was it?
"Sorry guys, wrong balloon!" Koi yelled down.
She became confused when, even as their balloon went on its journey, the people kept following her balloon.
What was going on?
