Babies love mimicking the adults in their lives. It's one of the ways babies learn how to do things like wave, communicate, and walk.
There are certain behaviors we expect babies to copy — like making silly faces. Anytime a stranger comes in contact with a baby, there are two things they usually try to do: wave and make funny faces. They do this because they assume the baby will reciprocate the action, and usually they do.
One man, a Dutch champion beatboxer who goes by B-Art, experienced this mimicry firsthand with his baby niece.
B-Art was practicing his beatboxing while spending some time with his adorable niece. He grabbed a camera so he could watch himself back, but while he was practicing, he noticed that his little niece was getting involved too.
So instead of just getting a normal practice video of himself, B-Art ended up with an adorable video of his niece trying to beatbox. And it's one of the cutest videos I've ever seen.
Honestly, this baby is better at beatboxing than most people — but she does have a pretty good teacher. Like most babies, she is pretty good at making nonsense noises, but the best part of the video is when she realizes that her uncle is making all the noises by moving his mouth into strange positions.
She tries to imitate his mouth, but ends up making no noise. It's all very adorable. And who knows, with more training, she could become the next beatboxing star!
