Toddlers Become Best Friends While Fighting The Same Rare Form Of Leukemia

Every time I get even the teeniest, tiniest of colds, I turn into a huge baby. I mope around, whining and complaining to anyone who will listen (and some who I know won't). Watching the brave youngsters in the video below, however, definitely inspires me to be less of a brat the next time I catch a case of the sniffles.

Best buddies Aiden Kramer, who is 3, and Silas Rye, who is 2, always have big smiles on their faces when they see each other. Unfortunately, the location of their playdates isn't in any park or even their homes. Instead, the toddlers met at the hospital where they were both being treated for a rare form of leukemia. At an age when they should be running around their backyards and getting into trouble, they find themselves enduring rounds of chemo and testing to fight off the cancer.

No parent ever wants to see their child suffering through so much pain, especially when they're so young, but it helps to know they have found a kindred spirit for their little guys. While talking with their local news reporters, the parents explain how the tykes saw each other one day, realized they were about the same size, and instantly formed the bittersweet bond.

Aiden's mother, Ashley, fights back tears knowing both sons should have so much more to look forward to in life, but the families are making plans to enjoy the world outside of the hospital together once the tiny pals are well enough.

Take a look and be sure to SHARE this precious friendship to encourage everyone you know to have such beautiful spirits!
