On October 23, 2014, Brad proposed to Addie at Tower 23 in San Diego. However, this wasn’t just your regular surprise proposal. Brad wanted to make sure Addie was proposed to in a romantic, yet hilarious, way.
Upon waiting to be seated for dinner, Brad tells Addie that he’s going to go get his phone. Once he disappears, an employee of Tower 23 hands Addie an iPad and tells her to take a survey by playing this video.
Once Addie presses play, out come the waterworks!
Brad created a video of his, but mostly her, family saying not to marry him. It was really adorable to watch even if you don’t know the couple personally.
Addie is in a fit of tears and laughter for the entirety of the video, and it’s beautiful to see the adoration that her family feels for her and her soon-to-be fiancé.
Once the video ends, Brad comes around to her side of the couch and pops the much-anticipated question that was already insinuated quite a bit with the mention of marriage strung all across the clip she watched.
I think the care he put into this proposal is wonderful, and it’s obvious to me that they’re clearly a good match for one another.
Being that they’re best friends that work together in the band Halocene, and have been together for five years, it’s beautiful that this special moment was captured on camera.
