When a parent sees their newborn child for the very first time, it's a moment that's impossible to forget.
No matter how your child looks, all that should matter is that they are born healthy. So what happens when your child is born with a physical difference that isn't life-threatening, but will have an immeasurable impact on their life?
As we've learned from this sweet little boy named Grant, being different from other kids can be a real challenge, but what really matters is what's on the inside. This couldn't be more true for another 6-year-old boy who was born healthy but faced a major challenge. Braylon O'Neill's parents were thrilled when their baby boy came out healthy, with his arms swinging, but they were shocked to find out he didn't have bones in his legs, a disability that would make amputation necessary.
As you can see in the video, their family motto is, "When life throws you a curveball, hit it out of the park," a lesson we can all learn from by seeing Braylon in action today. He may not have legs, but he has more spunk, ambition, and energy than most little kids his age…and he's more active than a lot of them, too!
Just like this little girl, who finally feels like a "normal" kid thanks to her new prosthetic arm, Braylon's prosthetic legs allow him to do some pretty incredible things.
