Breastfeeding Mom Is Told To Cover Up In Museum So She Answers By Posting Photos Of Nude Statues

If you're a mom with a young child, you know how hard it is to pay attention to all of that baby's needs and still be productive while going about your day. Breastfeeding moms are particularly affected, as they have to stop what they're doing to feed their child.

Of course, it would make life so much easier for them if they were allowed to breastfeed anywhere they wanted to. Luckily, there are laws in place that protect them and allow them to feed their children anywhere in public. Even so, they are still scrutinized by total strangers and institutions alike and routinely asked to cover up.

Some mothers are hitting back with some genius responses. One woman, whose Twitter handle is "Vaguechera" was recently asked to cover herself after she accidentally flashed her nipple while breastfeeding. But as she was in a museum, she realized that there were nude statues all around her! She proceeded to take photos of the bare-chested statues and added some hilarious captions.

A breastfeeding mom was sitting in the courtyard of the Victoria and Albert Museum in England when she was told to cover up.

She wrote on Twitter, "Flashed a nanosecond of nipple while breastfeeding and was asked to cover up […] Am perplexed…"

She took photos of naked statues to prove that nipples could be seen everywhere in the museum! The only difference? She was a living, breathing human.

She added, "On the upside, I had a lovely day exploring depictions of breasts thru the ages and making lovely mammaries. I mean memories."

Many women are applauding her for her wit under the circumstances.

The museum responded to the situation, apologizing that she was asked to cover up.

The museum's director addressed the mom publically on Twitter, writing, "Our policy is clear: women may breastfeed wherever they like, wherever they feel comfortable & should not be disturbed."

The mom, seeing the humor in the situation, gladly accepted the apology!
