When a woman gets engaged, she spends months and months planning her wedding. Every detail must be planned out and every aspect must be organized. But throughout all the hassle and hurry, what she thinks about the most is the moment she gets to say "I do" to the person she loves.
But for bride Anna Swabey, that moment never came. The bride-t0-be succumbed to terminal brain cancer just one day before the big day.
The young woman was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor in January 2015. Single at the time, she was afraid that she would never be able to find true love before her death.
Then she met a man named Andy Bell online. They fell in love and got engaged shortly after in December. She had fulfilled her dream of finding the love of her life, and now she was going to be a wife.
Bell was not frightened away by Swabey's terminal illness, and was by her side until the very end. Though they never made it down the aisle, he was prepared to spend as much — or as little — time with her as he was given.

Anna Swabey was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor in early 2015. She began blogging about her experience and journey while battling the disease. Above everything else, she dreaded dying without finding true love.

But about a month after that confession, she met a man named Andy Bell. They fell in love and got engaged just a few months later. Her disease did not scare him away, and he planned to spend as much time with her as possible.

Meanwhile, Anna and her loved ones and supporters continued to try to fund research on her condition.

She was also in the midst of planning her wedding, excited to become a wife.

But one week before the big day, she fell dangerously ill.

And just one day before her wedding, Anna passed away, surrounded by the love of friends and family.
Though she never made it down the aisle, her family finds comfort in the fact that she lived to the fullest despite her illness, and that she was able to find the love of her life before her untimely end.
They continue the fundraising efforts for more research on the cancer that took Anna's life. They hope their mission will save lives in the future.
