Teen With Rare Syndrome Gets Kicked By Bully, Then Records Powerful Video With Her Friend

Bullying is never OK. No matter the situation or person, there is no excuse to bully someone.

I find it particularly horrifying to know people can bully someone just because they look different than them. What gives them the right to do that?

Austin and Elena both suffer from Goldenhar syndrome, a condition that happens in only one percent of childbirths. It is a genetic disorder classified by the incomplete development of the ear, nose, soft palate, lip, and mandible.

The two young teens recently met each other through the TLC show Two in a Million, a show that connects people who have the same rare conditions.

The two friends have both seen way too much bullying in their short lives because of their looks. Since they both do not look like all of the kids in their school, some terrible kids think it's cool to bully them.

To speak out against their bullies, and all bullies in general, Austin and Elena took to the internet to voice the reasons bullying is wrong. Elena says, "When you get bullied, it's like you go from a person into an ant."

One of Elena's bullies took the abuse and made it physical, kicking her so hard that she spent days in pain. If you've ever encountered a bully before or if you have ever said something not-so-nice about someone because they weren't like you, you need to watch their video.

If you love seeing people stand up to bullies, then you will enjoy this mother who told off a bully that said she needed to put a muzzle on her child!
