We all have gone to see so many hero movies with men in capes that have superpowers, but we never seem to see the everyday heroes in our movie theaters — the heroes that are everyday people battling a constant villain, such as cancer.
The moms who battle cancer, yet still perform as a mother, wife, sister, and friend throughout it all?
Now those are real heroes if you ask me.
The kids who are born or diagnosed young with cancers of all forms and somehow have to understand and accept these horrible day-to-day struggles? That's a hero.
The list can go on and on because there are so many different ways that cancer patients are really cancer heroes.
They fight to survive, and most of them are somehow blessed with amazing smiles on their faces.
Maybe they're chosen because they are the ones who can handle this horrible disease with optimism.
5-year-old Antonio is one of those young, inspiring, optimistic heroes and in this video, he is finally recognized for it.
