Candace Cameron Bure Defends Handsy Photo With Husband That Outraged Many Fans

Candace Cameron Bure isn't sorry. In fact, she isn't even sure what she's supposed to be sorry for.

It all started on Friday when Candace posted two pictures of herself and her husband, Valeri Bure. The first picture shows Val kissing Candace on the side of her head. The second shows them both smiling and likely laughing as he grabs her breast.

"sweet and spicy ❤️ ," she captioned the pictures. "24 years and counting ."

The picture was totally innocent, but some of Candace's fans didn't think so. Some people thought it was wrong of the Christian star to post such a photo with her husband. They think that Candace is showing a lack of value for parts of her relationship that they feel should remain private.

After the backlash poured in, Candace decided to address it. In her reply, she expertly illustrated to her fans that she's proud of her Christianity and her marriage.

Candace Cameron Bure is a committed woman. She's committed to her family, which includes her husband of 24 years, Valeri Bure, and her three children, 22-year-old Natasha, 20-year-old Lev, and 18-year-old Maksim. She's also committed to her faith and outspoken on her Christian beliefs.

Candace recently posted a set of sweet pictures with Val on Instagram. In the first photo, he kisses her on the side of the head. In the second, they seem to be laughing as he grabs her breast.

"sweet and spicy ❤️ ," she wrote. "24 years and counting ."

Most people found the humor in the picture. Many praised Candace and Val as couple goals and marriage goals.

"I can only hope that after surviving two young kids we can still be grabby!" one commenter wrote.

Some of Candace's fans felt differently, however. They didn't find the photo appropriate coming from a Christian woman. Despite the fact the couple have been married for 24 years and have three adult children, these commenters feel Candace and her husband should keep those moments private.

"Very inappropriate for a Christian woman," one commenter wrote.

"Not a good example of Christ. If you profess it live it. Walk the walk."

Candace responded to fan reactions in a video on her Instagram stories. "For all the Christians that are questioning my post with my husband's hand on my boob — my husband of 24 years — thinking it was inappropriate, it makes me laugh because it's my husband," she said.

"We have so much fun together."

"He can touch me any time he wants, and I hope he does," she continued.

"This is what a healthy, good marriage and relationship is all about. I'm sorry if it offended you — I'm actually not sorry. I'm glad we have fun together after so many years. He can touch me all day long."

Her Christian fans still appear torn. Most are agreeing that there's nothing wrong with her husband touching her chest. They still take issue with her deciding that photo was appropriate to share with the rest of the world, however.

With the Fuller House chapter of her life closed, Candace is moving along. She's still working on films with Hallmark while eyeing new projects. When recently asked if she'd go back to her old gig at The View, she shirked the idea.

"I just don't publicly want to talk about politics," she told Fox News.

"Not because I don't believe that my viewpoints and opinions are important but I would much rather share Jesus with people. That's really my passion."

She's also got some wedding planning to do! Candace's son, Lev, got engaged to his longtime love, Taylor Hutchison, a few weeks ago.

"She said YES!!! Last night my son @levvbure proposed to his beautiful girlfriend @taylorrhutchison ," Candace wrote.

"We are SO excited for these cuties!!! #Engaged ! And this mama/mama-in-love can't wait for wedding planning shenanigans !!!"
