What began with the small and simple idea of, "Let's build a cardboard playhouse for our daughter," turned into a not so small construction project for one very lucky little girl.
In the summer of 2001, YouTube user "wikiphotos" decided to build the most epic tiny house for his daughter Zuzia. After gathering the stiffest cardboard he could find, he, his wife and their kids worked together over the course of the next few days putting it all together — and luckily for us, he documented the entire process from start to finish. The result is the sweetest, most wonderful gift a father could give to his daughter. It's creative, it's crafty, and best of all, it's on a major budget. Just goes to show, you don't need a lot of money to make something special from the heart.
The following video is a time lapse revealing just how much time and effort Dad put into this very special project. "It's not hard, just takes some planning and imagination," he says. "You can let your kids decorate it afterwards to make it feel their own. It's great fun if you have the space for it."
Surprisingly, the playhouse lasted about two years. "Unfortunately it sustained water damage," Dad says. "My daughter decided to take it to the garden and that was the end of its life." It was good while it lasted!
