Pregnancy can do some crazy stuff to your body, so it's no wonder that many expecting women spend their nine months as a human incubator staying off their feet as much as possible and indulging in the ridiculously powerful cravings that take over their bodies. But for Australian model and fitness instructor Chontel Duncan, getting pregnant was only a minor speed bump in her diet and fitness routine. Even as she enters her last month of pregnancy, this fit mom-to-be looks more toned than many non-pregnant people… and the state of her body is making waves around the web.
Except in specific cases, doctors often recommend moderate amounts of exercise for expectant mothers. This mom kept her body moving by practicing her belly dancing skills, even at nine months pregnant! However, the amount of exercise that Chontel does seems a bit extreme, especially when you see that she still has abs even though she's about to pop. Many people are concerned that she's endangering the health of her unborn child, and her baby bump pictures are causing almost as much of an uproar as when this model showed off her shocking "pregnancy abs."
Despite all the negative comments she's received, Chontel doesn't have any plans to change her lifestyle. She's working extensively with her doctors to make sure that her body is in good condition for both herself and the little life growing inside her, and so far, her baby is developing just as he should. Chontel is using the attention she's received to inform other women that just because your baby body looks different from someone else's, that doesn't mean you're doing anything wrong. She's also spreading the message that as long as it's cleared with your doctor, exercise is good for both Mom and Baby. Take a look at her photos below and see what you think of her shockingly small baby belly!

Chontel Duncan is a fitness model and personal trainer whose life revolves around staying healthy and in shape.

But beneath those rock-hard abs is a shocking secret. Can you guess what it might be?

Yep. Believe it or not, this ultra-fit woman is pregnant.

From her bodybuilding days to her job as the owner of HIIT Australia, Chontel makes sure that fitness is constantly a part of her life, and not even pregnancy can slow her down.

From the very beginning of her pregnancy, Chontel has made sure she was making good choices for her growing baby while also making healthy choices for herself.

As a result of her diet and fitness routine, no one at her gym even had an idea that she was pregnant until she announced it when she was at 20 weeks.

Despite having a VERY tiny baby bump, though, Chontel doesn't starve herself. She mainly sticks to healthy foods, but has upped her calorie intake since becoming pregnant.

She freely admits to indulging in some creamy and fried treats.
Despite maintaining a healthy lifestyle throughout her pregnancy, though, Chontel has received lots of negative comments for her tiny baby body.

Some have claimed she's putting her baby at risk, while others have suggested it's only a matter of time before she 'gives up' and starts bingeing on junk food.

However, Chontel sees the little life inside of her as even more of a reason to stay healthy rather than making drastic lifestyle changes to fit society's view of what a pregnant body should look like.

She's consulted with her doctor, who has told her that her extra-fit belly isn't doing her baby any harm.

In fact, those rock-hard abs might actually be doing her baby a big favor.

You see, Chontel's core prevents her little one from doing gymnastics in her womb. And since ultrasounds show he's already in the perfect position to come out, she can look forward to a pretty smooth delivery.

With just one more month of pregnancy ahead of her, this strong mama says she's going to listen to her body and her doctor to make the best choices for both herself and her unborn son.

She's proving to the world that as long as you make healthy choices, it doesn't matter what your body looks like or how others criticize you.

Something tells me this little baby is going to be a fighter just like his mom!
