Chrissy Teigen recently opened up about getting breast implants early in her modeling career. She didn't get the implants to enhance her breast size but rather to fill them out. While she never doubted the decision much at first, becoming a mom has changed that.
Chrissy has been open about wanting to remove the implants. For better or worse, they're staying put for the time being. She may not be the biggest fan of them now, but Chrissy decided to celebrate 10 years of surgically enhanced breasts with a throwback Instagram post.
In the photo, Chrissy is modeling a white bikini on the runway at the Beach Bunny Swimwear fashion show. She captioned the photo, "happy 10 year anniversary to these [redacted] and RIP to these teeth. ."
Famous friends and fans had plenty of jokes in her comments, as did Chrissy. However, she's aware of the serious risks of going under the knife. It's one of the apprehensions that has kept Chrissy from pursuing the removal.
Chrissy Teigen is getting real about her breasts. The 34-year-old Twitter takedown machine and host of all things hilarious opened up about her decision to get breast implants in her early 20s when she was a bathing suit model. It's a decision she's grown to regret with age.
"Yeah, I did my boobs when I was about 20 years old," she told Glamour UK.
"It was more for a swimsuit thing. I thought, if I’m going to be posing, laid on my back, I want them to be perky! But then you have babies and they fill up with milk and deflate and now I am screwed."
The implants weren't to change her breast size, Chrissy explains. "I just filled them out, so they are rounder and firmer," she noted.
"I had a quarter ‘teardrop’ cup in the bottom and filled out the breast line. But I want them out now."
"If I could do one thing, it would be to have a lift," Chrissy continued. "I think you’re supposed to replace [implants] every ten years. But when you have kids you think about [the risks] of surgery and I think, ‘This is not the way I want to die, in boob surgery.’"
Chrissy came forward about the procedure because she's concerned about the unhealthy beauty standards social media sets. It's also why she doesn't think twice about posting, whether she's dolled up or dressed down.
"You can’t set these expectations for people that everything is perfect. Everyone filters their [expletive], edits or Facetunes so you forget what normal faces or bodies look like," she explained.
"It’s not fair and it makes you jealous of other people’s bodies. It’s lying to people by omission," she added. "But also, while you want to teach your kids to be comfortable in their own skin, you want to tell them everything you can and let them decide."
Chrissy has always been great at poking fun at herself. Her love/hate relationship with her implants is no different. She took to Instagram to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of getting them.
Chrissy posted two photos of herself posing in a white bikini. It was from a Beach Bunny Swimwear fashion show in 2010. Chrissy captioned the photos, "happy 10 year anniversary to these [redacted] and RIP to these teeth. ."

Kim Kardashian replied with three laugh-crying emojis. Chrissy jokingly reminded Kim that she was the star of the show. "You guys were at this show!!! It's why I was listed as 'model walks runway' no once cares about me bahahahahah."
If you look in the background of the second photo, you can see a picture of Kim, Khloé, and Kourtney in an ad for Beach Bunny.
Whitney Cummings also commented on Chrissy's photos. "Wait isn’t ten years when we need to take them out?!" she asked.
"Yes dude and I really want them OUT," Chrissy replied.
"Quarantine would have been perfect time but apparently it's not 'ESSENTIAL' smh," she joked.
A few people also asked about Chrissy's comments on her teeth. Chrissy didn't directly reply to the comments, but her fans had some guesses. They believe Chrissy got veneers, as many celebrities have, to enhance her smile.
Chrissy's right about that. Currently, all elective surgeries are on hold as medical professionals dedicate most of their attention to the COVID-19 crisis. An implant removal will have to wait, so in the meantime, Chrissy will have fun with what she's got.
