Chrissy Teigen Reveals How She Really Feels About Being A ‘Working Mom’

Chrissy Teigen is one of the most relatable ladies working in Hollywood today. Sure, she might be an actual Sports Illustrated swimsuit model, but she's also a wife and mommy who loves pizza and pointing out her stretch marks.

She's drop-dead gorgeous, but she's also about as funny and real as they come. She and musician hubby John Legend are all about staying grounded in the crazy world of super fame (Chrissy has nearly 11 million followers on her Instagram alone.)

Chrissy sets herself apart from the pack with her brutally honest (and deeply hilarious) commentary on what it means to be a mom, a wife, and a global celebrity commodity.

Before she and John had their 1-year-old daughter Luna, Chrissy talked openly about their struggle to conceive.

Luna was born thanks to IVF, and Chrissy has always made that part of her life an open book for all the other moms out there worrying about their own hidden struggles to conceive.

Most recently, Chrissy sat down for an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight. She revealed exactly how she feels about being a working mom in Hollywood, and also professed her deep admiration for all the single moms out there doing it all by themselves.

Chrissy Teigen has been a major power player in Hollywood for years.

The beautiful celebrity got her start as a model on Deal or No Deal, then became a frequent cover girl for magazines like Sports Illustrated.

These days, she hosts Lip Sync Battle, and most recently released a best-selling cookbook called Cravings.

In other words, she's one busy lady.

On top of all of that, Chrissy is also a red carpet mainstay, the wife of Academy Award-winning musician John Legend, and mom to their precious baby girl, Luna.

Chrissy has always been incredibly candid about the pressures of Hollywood and motherhood.

She's always the first to note that she is far, far from perfect.

In fact, she's more than happy to add that none of us are perfect.

She might have a picture-perfect life on social media, but she does everything she can to remind fans that she's just the same as all of them.

She and her husband struggled for years with infertility issues before finally conceiving Luna via IVF.

Chrissy is happy to acknowledge that motherhood is beautiful, but it's no walk in the park. She says that she and her husband are very lucky for all the support they get.

She told ET, "Every time I look at  Luna, I wonder, 'How on earth does anybody do this alone?' I have the utmost respect for… single mothers."

She also adds that, as a working mom and a celebrity, she is lucky to have tons and tons of support.

Not only does her mom live with them and provide lots of childcare, the celebrity couple have the resources to hire trustworthy nannies and babysitters with ease.

Even when Teigen is stuck at work, she always knows that little Luna will be in good hands.

Elsewhere in the exclusive interview, she added: "I just have so much respect for everybody and I think… [celebrities are] given all the tools to be able to get ourselves together and to be able to leave the house for a little bit and go work out and eat well, and I think that's not something that everyone has access to. I've never had more appreciation for anyone in my entire life until I became a mom."

Chrissy was able to model for the swimsuit issue of Sports Illustrated, but is quick to note that that never, ever would have happened without the extensive resources and support she has access to.

For Chrissy, the really impressive moms are the ones out in the world raising kids without an extensive support system.

She feels that women who look at her social media accounts and see her "having it all" should remember that she's not sure she would ever be able to do what they do every single day.

She's quick to note that she's often overwhelmed even with the support she has.

Moms with a less extensive support system should feel really proud of themselves for what they do, and should never feel "less than" when comparing themselves to celebrities.

Chrissy also gives her husband John a lot of credit for being a really excellent parenting partner.

They both have high-flying careers, but they're able to pick up the pieces to raise Luna and still carve out time for their own occasional date nights!
