Christina Anstead is in full-on nesting mode as she prepares for the arrival of her baby boy. The Christina on the Coast star's due date is drawing closer. She's expected to give birth sometime this September.
She recently celebrated a beautiful bohemian-themed baby shower with loved ones at the Balboa Bay Resort in Newport Beach, California. Now she's letting fans know that the "boho vibes" are also a part of her son's nursery, and she's even offering some sneak peeks.
Christina first announced that she and husband Ant Anstead were expecting in March. They married in December 2018, and this is their first child together. Christina shares 8-year-old daughter Taylor and 3-year-old son Brayden James with ex-husband Tarek El Moussa. Ant also has two children, 15-year-old Amelie and 12-year-old Archie, from his previous marriage. Five kids may sound like chaos to some, but Christina and Ant are excited to have their little boy added as the latest member of their blended family.
Christina Anstead is in her third trimester, and she's totally feeling those nesting vibes. The expectant mama and her husband Ant Anstead are counting down the weeks until they welcome the newest member of their family this September.
Christina first announced the pregnancy in March on Instagram. In the photo, she's holding onto Ant and laughing as her outstretched arm reveals a sonogram photo to the camera.
"@ant_anstead and I are so excited to announce #babyanstead coming this September!! The kids are all so excited to meet their new sibling ♥," she wrote.
Ant was also excited to share their big news. He shared a photo of four frames, each with a photo of one of his or Christina's kids. In the middle was the sonogram photo of their unborn baby. "And then…… there were FIVE!!! (Well …. four and a half! Will be Five in September)!! ❤️ ," he shared.
Like all things with Christina and Ant, the next few weeks were a whirlwind. A month after making their big announcement, both shared photos from their gender reveal showing that they'd be expecting a baby boy.
Summer made things even more chaotic for the family. In the span of a month, Christina and Ant went to Sedona on their babymoon, Taylor (Christina's daughter) had her appendix taken out, and Ant tore a bicep and needed surgery.
Thankfully, things settled by the end of June, when Christina's best friend and publicist Cassie Zebisch threw her a "dreamy" baby shower. The boho-themed bash was attended by 24 of Christina's closest friends and family members.
The event also had activities for guests to partake in, like planting succulents and making your own bath salt blends. The latter activity was the favorite of Christina's daughter. Christina told People: "Taylor was especially into the bath-salt station. She was making bath salts for all the guests — and right when we got home, she jumped in the bath to try them out."
Christina hinted at that boho theme translating to the baby's nursery when she posted an updated bump photo about two weeks later. In the picture, she looks beautiful showing off her bump in a flowing printed dress. She explained that she was just three weeks out from maternity leave and finishing up the nursery.
Early the next week, Christina started sharing looks at the baby's nursery. The first photo featured Brayden sweetly riding a hippo rocker meant for his new little brother, as well as a white crib in the background.
The second photo gave a better look at the nursery's decor. The room features a little outside seating area, where mom and dad can get the baby some fresh air on those sleepless nights. There's also a nice recliner and ottoman that give the room a comfy feel.
The third photo Christina posted shows an enormous dream catcher that takes up much of the wall on one side of the crib. You can also get a peek at the adorable star mobile that's ready to deliver sweet dreams to Baby Anstead.
The next day, Christina shared the official nursery walk-through video. "Excited to share our little guys nursery. loving the boho vibes," Christina captioned the video. She also shared that as of this week, there are just eight weeks left until the little man makes his debut.
With maternity leave now just a week away, Christina's going to have a lot more downtime to settle in and prepare for the major shift that's coming in their family. It's a lot to take on at once, but Christina and Ant seem to have it all under control.
The best part is that they'll have a lot of loving, helpful hands to get them through. With four older siblings and two incredible parents ready to love him, Baby Anstead is sure to come into a house that's warm and welcoming.
