Cop Spends 10 Minutes In Hot Car To Teach Parents To Keep Their Children Safe

With summer quickly approaching, that means one thing for people all over the country: warm weather. Seriously, who doesn't enjoy spending a beautiful day soaking up the sun and enjoying some fresh air?

However, with all of the good things that come with bright and sunny weather, there are also some necessary precautions that must be taken to ensure that everyone has a happy and healthy summer!

Although most people remember the basics, like putting on sunglasses and sunscreen, there is one thing that seems to slip people's minds time and time again: leaving children in the car. Sure, you may think leaving your child (or pet) in the car for a few minutes while you run into the grocery store is harmless.

But the sad reality is that even 10 minutes in a hot car can lead to an emergency situation, especially for a child.

To prove this point, a few officers from a Louisiana precinct decided to put on a little experiment. With one officer volunteering to spend 10 minutes sitting in a parked car, he shows viewers just how brutal it can be to sit in a hot car with no air-conditioning. After just a few minutes, it becomes clear to see that even a quick trip into the store can become a very serious situation.
