Get ready to meet the dad of the year.
YouTube channel Funner Every Day asked his fans to vote on a project that would enable his friend Ryan to build a wheelchair swing set for his daughter with special needs. His fans "voted in force" and Ryan ended up winning the competition. The doting dad from Alabama used the money he won to buy the hardware. He let the man behind Funner Every Day come over and help build the main structure in his family's backyard.
Ryan is a U.S. Army helicopter pilot. Once you see his DIY construction project, you'll agree that he's also one incredible father. Ryan's daughter, Mary, has Type 1 spinal muscular atrophy and is bound to a wheelchair. With just $1,000 in winnings, Ryan began to build the ultimate swing for Mary. Not only is it wheelchair-accessible, but it can hold up to 450 pounds. The swing also acts as a double-level playhouse for Mary's friends. Every kid deserves to experience the thrill of swinging, and the fact Dad worked so hard to make this possible for Mary is nothing short of spectacular.
It's so heartwarming to see how excited Mary is about her new swing set! Bravo, Ryan. Check out the awesome DIY project below, and please SHARE this video with your friends on Facebook!
