When one Florida dad left his spot on the beach for a few minutes, he came back with his camera. Good thing, because he found two women in the middle of attempting to steal his family's canopy.
It all went down one Fourth of July at New Smyrna Beach, Florida. "Watch the fireworks that follow," says the description on YouTube.
Fireworks is right. Dad filmed the confrontation as it happened in real time, and these women tried desperately to cover their tracks — albeit very unsuccessfully. They both deny any wrongdoing, and even attacked the man for calling them out and threatened to throw his camera in the grass!
“You need some help?" he initially asks the thieves. "Do you know how to do it?" they respond.
"Yeah. This is our stuff," he reveals to the unsuspecting ladies.
Talk about awkward … and totally busted!
The women are undoubtedly embarrassed to have been caught red-handed, but there's no reason for them to be hostile toward this innocent man. He could not have been more cool, calm, and collected about what he saw.
Once this video went viral with more than 6.4 million views, the local school district got involved and started an investigation into the two women.
