Jeff Highsmith just earned himself the award for Dad of the Year by building something for his two sons that every kid (and probably a few adults out there) dreams about.
In just over four months, he not only built a spaceship for his one son's bedroom but also a mission control desk for the other. In a nutshell, this man turned his house into a pretend NASA and it's pretty freakin' awesome.
The spaceship literally looks like an exact replica of what the men and women use in our national space program, it includes working joystick controls, lights, sounds, engine thrusters, robotic arms, and an audio link between Mission Control and the spacecraft.
Jeff really painstakingly created everything that you will find aboard a real spacecraft and to say it's impressive is the understatement of the year.
You just have to see this for yourself, it's insane. Enjoy and please SHARE this with your friends and family.
