Ashlie Nicole Williams and Aaron Cade have a beautiful little daughter named London. The family from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, had quite the laugh when Aaron took Ashlie's bedtime instructions a little too literally.
"I couldn’t be mad because he did EXACTLY what I asked," Ashlie wrote.
So where did Aaron go wrong? Well, it all started when he brought London home. She had fallen asleep in her car seat. The dad wasn't sure what to do.
"Aaron came in the house with London asleep in her car seat and I told him to, 'just put her in the bed.' He did exactly that," Ashlie said on Twitter.
She posted the photo of Aaron's remarkable ability to follow directions on Twitter, and her post quickly went viral. Other mothers began sharing their own anecdotes about their well-meaning but clueless husbands and partners.
One dad even chimed in about his own ridiculous parenting.
"I once put a diaper on my daughter AFTER I snapped her onesie together and couldn’t figure out why her mom was crying laughing," the Twitter user said.
Check out Aaron's unique parenting skills below.

Ashlie Nicole Williams is the doting mother of her 2-year-old baby girl, London.

Aaron Cade is London’s dad, and let’s just say he has a different approach to parenting than Ashlie.

One day while Ashlie was finishing up the dishes, Aaron came home with London.

London had fallen asleep in her car seat and Aaron wanted to know what he should do.

“He told me she was asleep, so I told him to just put her in the bed and I’d wake her and bathe her later,” Williams told BuzzFeed News.

So naturally, Aaron literally followed Ashlie’s instructions — mother knows best, right? He gently and adorably tucked London in without removing her from the car seat.

“I literally walked out of the room to laugh because I didn’t want to wake her up,” Ashlie mom said. “I turned the light out and left her there.”

Ashlie's post quickly went viral, and some of the parents following her couldn't help but chime in with their "clueless" dad stories.

"I once put a diaper on my daughter AFTER I snapped her onesie together and couldn’t figure out why her mom was crying laughing," the Twitter user said.
And his wife was ready to provide the photographic evidence.

“The dads that commented weren’t surprising at all. It’s like they hold meetings to learn things like this,” Ashlie joked.

Other dads were just happy to know they weren't alone.

Some posited that the male brain was just a little bit different.

In the end, they may not always get it right, but at least their hearts are in the right place.

We’re sure London is going to get a kick out of this once she’s old enough.
