As more and more of our nation's brave military men and women are welcomed back home, families all over the country are getting the chance to start living as a whole unit once again. The millions of homes who were nervously waiting for their fathers, mothers, husbands, wives, sons, and daughters to come back are finally getting the gift that they've long been waiting for.
But for three little Boy Scout brothers named Chance, Trent, and Logan Raby, they knew their dad was going to be away "camping" for a little while longer. Even though they missed him dearly, they stepped up and helped their mom around the house every single day.
But as anyone who knows the Boy Scouts, you'll know that these little boys will do and learn all sorts of skills to get those special badges of honor. From archery to lifesaving CPR courses to tying knots, these boys will learn some valuable skills that will help them throughout their adult lives.
One of the badges they were looking to earn could only be attained from greeting the men and women who were returning home overseas. Even though they didn't know any of the military vets stepping off a plane, they felt it was their duty to give these men and women a happy "Welcome Home" that every single serviceman and woman deserves to hear.
But little did they know that their dad played a bit of a trick on them. As the three brothers were welcoming a soldier home, they saw off camera a man that looked exactly like their father. And when it became clear that it was him, the looks on their faces really say it all. Utter joy mixed in with complete surprise, these boys couldn't wait to hug their dad and give them the "Welcome Home" that they've been practicing all day.
Not only did they get their badges for their hard work, but they got the best gift of all: their dad!
