Every parent knows the best way to bond with your kids is to have fun while you're at it. The opportunity to make memories and encourage whatever they're passionate about is one of the most beautiful aspects of watching their little faces grow up. I don't have any children of my own, but I've gotten a glimpse of that amazing connection with my nephew. I didn't even think I liked kids very much until he came around and suddenly he was all I could think about! Every seemingly small moment and milestone is a big deal when you're witnessing it through the eyes of those tiny humans as they try to figure out all the ways our crazy world works.
For dad Matt Silverman, he and daughter Amelia have taken to their own corner of the web to hang out and produce adorable YouTube videos together. Along with regular episodes where Silverman interviews the tyke for her hilarious takes on pop culture trivia, the daddy/daughter duo also use the opportunity to show off their musical side with this cover of Walk the Moon's chart-topping hit, "Shut Up + Dance." Using both traditional and toy instruments such as guitar, drum, and kazoo, the talented twosome put their own totally sweet spin on the catchy tune.
Of course, Silverman also makes sure he's setting a good example for her young, impressionable mind. They take a pause at 2:40 to lay down some light-hearted parenting law, but then it's right back to jamming their hearts out again.
