At the Beijing Swingtime Ball in 2014, huge crowds of people formed a circle around the dance floor for what appeared to be a dance performance.
In the video below, a young man starts moving his feet. The crowd looks energized and excited. But it turns out to be something very different.
He goes to the crowd to look around and ask someone to join him, then stops in front of a pretty young woman in a white dress and pulls her out to the dance floor with him.
She willingly starts to dance, and they look absolutely adorable and playful together. Then he sits her down in a chair and covers her eyes.
She seems very confused, and I'm not sure if the audience is in on it. Then the grand finale begins.
Her boyfriend comes out of the crowd with a spotlight shining and a huge bouquet of roses in hand — and it seems that she finally realizes what's going on.
He gets down on one knee and pops the big question. And within seconds, hundreds of people swarm around the happy couple, cheer, and dance around.
