Announcer At Special Olympics Game Turns Around, Suddenly Sees Darth Vader With Black Banner

At Fern Creek High School in Louisville, Kentucky, during a Special Olympics basketball game, the audience in attendance was treated to an appearance by Darth Vader.

Yes, you read that correctly. Darth Vader, the Sith Lord and infamously tortured villain of the Star Wars franchise, stepped onto the court during halftime.

OK, so it was a girl dressed like him, but still  it was a surprise to everyone in attendance!

Especially Travis Bailey, a special-needs student who was serving as announcer for the game.

Around halftime, Travis went to center court for his usual announcing. There, he was presented with a red rose.

But the surprises weren't done yet.

He overheard the host say through the loudspeaker, "Now, it's time to turn the court over to the dark side!"

Travis let out a gasp, and the familiar theme music began to ring out throughout the gym.

Travis turned around, and there, walking toward him, was Darth Vader.

Flanking Lord Vader were two teens holding a long black banner. The three of them stood right before Travis so he could read the banner.

It said, "Why join the dark side when you can join my side at prom?"

Then, Darth Vader removed her mask and revealed herself!
