We've all probably ruffled through photos of our mothers in their youth — big hair, tall heels, and out-of-style fashions that leave us scratching our heads about how the times have changed. But what if our mothers had the opportunity to restyle their daughters? Would those youthful inclinations kick-in, or would they prove themselves connoisseurs of trending fashions?
A new video explores that very question, and my is it ever surprising.
"This is one time I actually have to have her hairdo exactly like I want it without any question about 'No, maybe we should not do it,'" says one mother. "I said, 'This is it.'"
After a brief interview, the moms explain their hairdo plots. "I want high fashion, but cool and funk," said one mom. "Edgy, but high fashion."
What ensued were extensions, trimmings, and updos of alarming proportions (at least for the young women who became guinea pigs for their mothers' inclinations). The hairdos are done without mirrors, so it's not until they're revealed to their mothers that these women see the fruition of their visions. But with hairstyles that border on atrocious, it's probably safe to assume that this fashion adventure will be the last for a few of them.
