A Pit Bull And His 3-Year-Old Human Friend Share Some Loving Smooches

We all know Clark Kent as the man with dark, slicked back hair and thick glasses who moonlights as the one and only Superman. But there's more than one Clark Kent in town these days. So, who's the second?

That would be this rescued pit bull. He has a slightly deformed face that, along with the totally unwarranted bad reputation of his breed, almost cost him his life. No one wanted to take this sweet guy home because he didn't look like other dogs.

This happens to far too many dogs. Often, canines are discarded as puppies if their owners see that they look a bit physically off, or if they are deaf or blind, even if they are otherwise totally healthy. These animals deserve just as much of a chance at life as any "normal" dog. Unfortunately, not everyone thinks the same way.

Other times, animals become disfigured as a result of human abuse or neglect, which also leads to a much more difficult adoption process for them.

While it's unclear what exactly lead to Clark Kent's deformity, he's clearly not letting it affect his cheerful demeanor and loving heart.

One family was able to see past his slightly different face, and they gravitated towards his wonderful personality… plus, he gets along so splendidly with the 3-year-old daughter in the family.

Watching these two share some smooches while the little girl giggles her heart out is just about as sweet as it gets. This pup deserves every bit of happiness that he's found with this family.
