Singer Demi Lovato has very exciting news: She is engaged to her boyfriend, Max Ehrich. Demi announced their engagement with brand-new photos of the couple shared to her Instagram account.
She also shared that Max asked her to marry him in Malibu, where the two have presumably been living together.
"When I was a little girl, my birth dad always called me his 'little partner' – something that might've sounded strange without his southern cowboy like accent. To me it made perfect sense. And today that word makes perfect sense again but today I'm officially going to be someone else's partner."
She went on to add that she knew she loved Max immediately.
"@maxehrich – I knew I loved you the moment I met you. It was something I can't describe to anyone who hasn't experienced it firsthand but luckily you did too.. I've never felt so unconditionally loved by someone in my life (other than my parents) flaws and all."

Max is just as excited to get married as Demi is. He shared his own post on Instagram, writing, "Ahhhh You are every love song, every film, every lyric, every poem, everything I could ever dream of and then some in a partner in life. Words cannot express how infinitely in love with you I am forever and always and then some. I cannot spend another second of my time here on Earth without the miracle of having you as my wife. here's to forever baby."

Angelo Kritikos, the photographer who shot the pair's engagement photos, also felt moved to note the occasion: "I am SO happy to witness and capture this incredible moment. Wishing you two the most beautiful life together. Congratulations @ddlovato and @maxehrich I LOVE YOU!!"
While Demi and Max haven't been together for very long, a source told People magazine that the two had an immediate connection. In fact, Max had a ring picked out and purchased for Demi after only two months of dating! The couple celebrated their one-month anniversary on April 7, which Max marked with a video shared to Instagram.
Demi also adorably accidentally crashed a live video Max was sharing to Instagram back in March. Max was playing for fans when Demi walked up behind him and wrapped a blanket around him. After he hurriedly told her, "I'm on live, I'm on live," she hid her face with the blanket and disappeared off-screen.
Earlier in March, Demi shared that she had been trying online dating and it wasn't really working out for her. "I was on dating apps for a while but as I've spent some time with myself over the past couple months, I realized that I am the type of person that will find any way to regulate when I'm sad or lonely or whatever."
She added that at that particular moment, she was single and working on being happy with just herself: "I have to fight those battles on my own, and I can't let somebody come in and fix those issues for me. So right now, I'm single and spending my Saturday nights by myself."
Max is an actor and singer and is most well-known for his small-screen roles as Fenmore Baldwin on The Young and the Restless, Hunter May in Under the Dome, and Freddie Ridge in The Path. Max has also starred in a few movies for the Disney Channel, including High School Musical 3: Senior Year. He and Demi definitely have a lot of in common in terms of their careers, which probably helps them as partners.
Earlier this year, a source close to the couple also told E! News that Max has been a great influence on Demi: "Max is very into music and health, and he doesn't like to party. He is a good influence on Demi, and they have a lot in common. It's very new but they are definitely hanging out and seeing where it leads."
