Mom Takes Photo In A Bikini, Then She Notices Her Stretch Marks Look Strange

Denise Bidot is used to having her photos taken. The plus-size model and mother was being photographed for Lane Bryant's new bikini line. However, when the photos were officially released, Bidot couldn't believe it.

She saw her midsection and noticed something odd: the photo editor didn't change anything about it. There was her unedited skin, stretch marks and all. Not the kind of thing you expect to see in a major fashion campaign.

“When they released these images unretouched, I was as shocked as everyone else,” she told Inside Edition. “For the last 10 years those stretch marks have been Photoshopped out of most images I’ve ever done…  I still look good.”

Bidot was actually excited that her stretch marks were removed. The 30-year-old mother believes her stretch marks tell an important story of her body.

"I was able to birth a child and carry her and take such good care of her in my belly," she said proudly.

What she couldn't have anticipated was the response from people who saw the photos. They got rave reviews — after all, what woman hasn't had stretch marks at some point? And why should anyone be ashamed of them?

“Yippppeeeee!!!! It's a real body! I love it!!!!!” one commenter wrote, according to Inside Edition.

Bidot is happy that the photos of her are getting a good response, as things could have gone easily gone the other way.

“I love that people responded so passionately," Bidot told Inside Edition.
