While I was potty training my two children many years ago, I tried using a reward chart to encourage my kids to get the job done, if you know what I mean. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn’t. And when they finally did master potty training (because as long and tedious as it might seem at the time, everyone does go through it), they were so proud of themselves that they wanted to teach their toys how to do the same thing. I’m sure plenty of parents know what I’m talking about.
For the little girl in this clip, she most definitely passed down the potty-training torch to her family dog. What makes this video hilarious is that she gives him a few encouraging words of praise while he’s in the middle of his task. As awkward as it might seem, it’s also incredibly adorable (the little girl patting the dog on the back, of course).
This just goes to show that potty training is a team, or in this case, a family effort. I think it would be better next time if everyone waited until the dog finished his deed, ha! At least she's encouraging potty training and not a potty mouth!
