It's in the nature of any parent to want to be there for their children as long as possible, to protect them, to encourage them, and to see them succeed.
Unfortunately, disease and sickness, and eventually death, separate parents from their children. In the meantime, they fret about the future, knowing that their time on Earth is limited. They will experience things for the last time, and it's a hard truth to accept.
Elaine Loney and her family hoped that the mom could beat her breast cancer when she was diagnosed with the disease. But unfortunately, her condition continued to deteriorate until it was clear that she wouldn't survive.
The Loneys then began to prepare for the end of her life.
But Elaine already knew what her last wish was. She wanted to hear her daughter sing with her choir just one last time.
Both her daughter, Madison, and Elaine's nurse were willing to do anything to make that possible.
Elaine and her family sat in the auditorium, and listened to Madison and her choir sing beautifully. Madison knows how much her mother loves to listen to her. Sometimes, she would catch her listening to her practice at home.
At the end of the performance, Elaine and Madison embraced, knowing that this would be the last performance the mother would get to attend.
Please SHARE to show your support for the Loney family, and to thank this nurse and Madison for granting a dying woman's last wish!
