Soccer (or football in countries other than the U.S.) is played by nearly 250 million players in over 200 countries, making it the most popular sport in the world. Since the goalkeepers are the only players on the field who are allowed to use their hands, the rest of the team has to be quick on their feet, and tough enough to use their head to drive the ball if needed.
While the young players of Mountain United haven’t quite made it to the professional leagues just yet, it would appear that they are pretty good already, because one spectator was able to pick up a few soccer skills just by watching them play.
But this wouldn’t be the first time an animal has shown they are capable of doing the same things as a human. If you don’t believe me, check out the bulldog who skateboards or the many dogs who surf in California.
When the teammates arrived to their field for a day of practice, they were greeted by a rather large and intimidating eagle who, by the looks of it, came to tryout for the team!
As he kicks the ball around a little and shows off for the players, it's clear that his talons may be a bit of an issue — but he would make a great new mascot!
