The internet is incredible for reasons as unique as its many users. How many friends have you been able to keep in touch with that would have otherwise faded out of your life with the passage of time? How many worthy campaigns have been funded with your support — ones you may not have known about if not for social media? And how many hilarious viral videos have made you smile on a day you were down?
We always think of social media as a recreational activity, but it’s so much greater than that. We’re able to network professionally, seek advice, and connect with groups of people who share our similar interests. For many, social media has changed their lives. Take for example infamous prankster and Smile More champion Roman Atwood, whose viral videos on YouTube are his family’s main source of income. Pretty cool, no?
The video below is a different kind of special. This family used YouTube to help them fund the necessary medical help they needed to conceive two beautiful, healthy children who we regularly post about on LittleThings. (Please take a moment to watch their daughter coddle a kitten — your heart will melt in seconds.) By the end of this video, I was nearly in tears…and I’m sure you will be too!
