Single dad Jason Garmon had always dreamed of wining and dining a woman for a date. However, when he heard about a father-daughter dance, he decided to use his best surprise on the most important woman in his life: his daughter.
Father-daughter dances are sometimes more for the dads than the little girls. Recently, the celebrations have been introduced to prisons all over the country. It gives inmates with good behavior a chance to be a part of their daughters’ lives, even when they are serving time.
Jason’s surprise has since gone viral, being shared over 300,000 times.
“[Y]ou are rocking the single dad thing,” commented Darrell Hollifield. “You are setting the foundation for your kids’ future. They will always remember these small things you do. Your daughter will measure the future men in her life by the things you do for her. Those future guys have a lot to live up to. From one dad to another, you are doing an awesome job.”

Jason Garmon is a single dad from Virginia. He lives with his two children, son Grayson and daughter Skylar. When he heard the father-daughter dance was coming up, he decided to surprise his little girl in the most beautiful way.
"Just because I'm her dad doesn't mean I'm going to assume she'll go with me," Jason jokingly wrote on Facebook.
He lured his daughter out back and with the help of his son, he prepared her for one epic surprise.
"You ask out a lady like it's the first time every time. Always keep her guessing, always try to win her. I don't care if it's your daughter, your girlfriend or your wife, the day you stop trying is the day you'll lose her."
The sign Jason created reads: Will you go to the daddy-daughter dance with me?
"I had always planned on doing something like this for a woman, but I realized the most important female that deserves my attention is already right here beside me. – P.S. She said YES!"
