The search for a 25-year-old Florida man with Down syndrome has come to an end.
Ihsan Hubbard was recovered safely in New York after being abducted by his father. The family of the 25-year-old became concerned after surveillance footage revealed Ihsan getting into a car with his father, Edward Hubbard. When he did not return, police released Ihsan's information, as well as that of the car they were seen in. He was qualified as being in danger at that point.
It was 48 long hours before Ihsan was located in Elmira, New York. He was a long way from Fort Lauderdale and his usual routine after being abducted by his father.
Police initially suspected that Edward might be heading to New York with his son. There were also two other men in the vehicle whose identities were unknown, so who they were and where they could end up was also a real concern.
Thankfully, Ihsan was found safe and returned home. His 59-year-old father was charged with interference with custody.
