Being torn away from everything we've ever known and loved sounds like a nightmare for most of us. But for kids who are placed into the foster care system, it's a painful reality. Many of them are taken away from their parents after years of abuse or neglect, but it doesn't make it any easier when they have to start life anew in a strange new home with strange new people. Luckily, there are amazing people who are dedicated to making this process easier for foster children.
In this short film, two little girls are removed from a bad situation at their home and taken to live with a foster family. Just like the little girl in this heartbreaking, yet moving, clip, they're both terrified of what's going to come next. What's even worse is that they weren't able to collect any belongings from their home, including a beloved stuffed bunny named Blueberry. But thanks to the help of their foster parents, their caseworker, and the Foster Care Support Foundation, they soon begin to reclaim a bit of normalcy in their lives.
Take a look at the sad, but also inspiring, journey that these two brave little girls face when they're placed in foster care. It's a scary time for any child going through something like this, but thanks to the kindness of a lot of wonderful people, it seems like these two are going to make it out just fine.
