Kimberly Fugate was exhausted after an intensive labor and grueling cesarean section delivery of identical triplets. Her babies had finally arrived, and she was ready to take a big ole breather. However, her doctor had a surprise for her. A very, very big surprise.
A fourth identical quadruplet had somehow been missed by numerous ultrasounds! That's right — she popped out behind her three identical sisters at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, shocking everyone in the room.
The Fugate four, named Kenleigh Rosa, Kristen Sue, Kayleigh Pearl, and Kelsey Roxanne, arrived three months earlier than expected, and a day before their mother's 42nd birthday.
The odds of conceiving identical quadruplets is astonishingly rare, especially when no in vitro fertilization is used, such as in Kimberly's case. ABC News reports the chances are 1 in 13 million!
Kimberly and her husband Craig are also parents to another daughter Katelyn, 11. The family set up a popular Facebook page to keep relatives updated on the quadruplets' amazing progress.
If you're delighted by these four little miracles, too, then please SHARE this video with your friends on Facebook!
