You know you're getting old when kids start referring to your favorite songs as "the oldies." However, the truth of it is that the pop music today just doesn't measure up to the sort of talent we used to see.
That's one reason I love talent shows. You really never know what you're going to get. Old, young, big, small — every contestant has real, raw talent, and they're all full of surprises.
In the clip below, we meet 10-year-old Giede Laroco, who appeared on The Voice Kids in the Philippines in 2014, but belts a classic power ballad like she was born to do it. When Celine Dion came out with "The Power of Love" back in 1993, everyone tried to match her unbelievable vocal range, but very few came close…until now!
Amazingly, more than 20 years later and half a world away, Giedie sounds eerily similar to Celine when she sings this unforgettable love song. As you'll see, the judges were more than impressed, as the first turned her chair around almost immediately, leaving the other two to fight over who would be next.
Clearly Giedie has a true gift from above. When you see her parents looking so proud backstage, I guarantee your heart will melt.
This is one video you're going to want to listen to over and over again.
