There are several rights of passage nature brings to us as kids. I'm not just talking about the dreadful strike of puberty, but also the other ways in which our bodies make that awkward time in our lives slightly more unbearable.
They're called growing pains for a reason, whether it's because you're actually feeling the aches as your height increases or simply feel the emotional weight of suddenly being a foot taller than the crush you've had since third grade — all of which happen well before any acne can come to make things even worse.
Of course, prior to all the hormonal changes, we first have to shed our baby teeth.
It's pretty much our body's way of introducing us to the changes we'll be experiencing over the next few years. I remember wiggling pearly whites when they'd get lose, but I was always way too anxious when the time came to yank them out. I never tried any of the old tricks, like tying a piece of string to the door handle or other creative endeavors, but I did rid myself of the tiny chompers eventually.
I definitely would not have had the courage to use this young girl's method shown below.
After enduring the loose tooth for months, Sidney decided to take things to a new level and enlisted her trusty German shepherd to help solve the problem once and for all. Her dad posted the attempt on the family dentist's Facebook page. Take a look to see how well it worked!
