Nine-year-old Grace Lee has undergone numerous operations on her heart. Although she still has a complex congenital heart disease and lung disease, the youngster decided to thank Alder Hey children's hospital staff who've helped save her life. After recovering from her most recent surgery, Lee took to the stage and was joined by a 800-person choir as she performed an emotional rendition of Bill Withers' hit "Lean On Me."
In the video, the little girl is doing what she loves most – singing. According to reports, Grace performed this song only days after hearing it for the first time. As soon as she opened her mouth to sing, the Liverpool One center came to a stand still. Everyone began singing, clapping and dancing to the music. Her fighting spirit makes this uplifting moment that much more special. What a sweet little girl.
