Sometimes, we all need to take a step back and remind ourselves that things may not be as bad as they may seem. We forget to soak up those precious moments given to us, like the feeling of rain against our skin.
In the touching short film below, entitled "Light Rain," a little girl asks her mom if she can run through the rain. The strangers huddled around her, shielding themselves under cover, think she's just being a silly little kid. But what she says at 1:47 reminds them all that true wisdom so often comes from children. The second a young-at-heart grandma takes off and runs through the rain with a smile plastered across her face, I couldn't help but tear up. Such a beautiful moment!
The director says, "This film was based on a true story (written by Bob Perks) and the premise of it is very simple. We are reminded of the need to avoid becoming weighed down by the trivial hindrances that soak our paths on a daily basis. There are always people in worse situations with real troubles and that should put our small daily problems in to perspective. Perhaps things aren't as bad as they first seem."
This inspires me to enjoy every moment… and leave my umbrella behind! Please SHARE with everyone you know!
