Alex Bermingham of Cork, Ireland, went to her grandma's house on December 11, 2017, to help decorate her Christmas tree.
Alex was getting ready to hang some ornaments when six purple, sparkly ball ornaments stuck out to her.
As it turns out, they weren't normal ornaments. In fact, the clear plastic was holding a sexy surprise inside: a sparkly purple thong.
Alex used her Twitter to post a series of photos showing the Christmas ornaments. She wrote that it was "unbeknownst to her upon purchase" that her grandma was buying ornaments with underwear inside. Her grandma later told her that the man in the shop "must have thought I was very kinky," because she purchased so many!
Thousands of people got a good laugh over the innocent mistake. Many even came to her grandma's defense, saying the ornaments are really pretty. As you'll see in the photos, at first glance, you really can't tell there is something inside.

Alex Bermingham was visiting her grandma's house when she noticed a few interesting ornaments while helping her decorate.
She stopped decorating to inspect a few sparkly ornaments.
She decided to open the ornaments and found a purple thong inside!
She posted about her findings on Twitter and people immediately got a kick out of the accident. Over 54,000 people have liked the tweet, and another 14,000 have retweeted it.
At first glance, the shiny ornament looks fairly innocent.
Once Alex popped the plastic ornament open, she immediately recognized her grandma's mistake.
"I have just realized upon decorating her tree that unbeknownst to her upon purchase, they are in fact, lavender glitter G-strings," she wrote on Twitter.
Alex snapped a photo of the underwear that was on her Grandma's tree. "Wishing everyone a kinky Christmas this holiday season," she tweeted.
In this photo, you can clearly tell that the purple shimmer isn't actually a design on the ornament.
She posted an updated tweet after telling her grandma what was inside the ornaments.
This Twitter user could see why her grandma bought them. "The effect with the shimmery fabric inside a clear ornament is really nice," Griffin wrote.

While Alex's grandma was embarrassed by the slipup, it sure has made an amazing Christmas memory for the family!
