Grandpa Can’t Believe His Eyes When An Old Lime-Green Jeep Appears In His Garage

Have you ever received a gift that left you virtually speechless? Don certainly has.

Don was spending the holidays with his family when he was given the best Christmas present he had ever received. What lay underneath a tarp in his family's garage was a nostalgic gesture of love that he would never forget.

The loving husband, father, and grandfather was making his way through a layer of red wrapping paper that covered a cardboard box. He was surrounded by his relatives in the garage as he plucked out another box about the size of his palm.

"It's not a car key, I don't think. So you didn't buy me a car," Don told his family when they asked him about what was in the tiny box.

He was half correct: His sons didn't buy him a new car, though he was definitely holding a car key.

Next, someone hit the lights and ripped off the white tarp in the darkness. "Turn around," his family told him.

Don's gift had a lime-green glow that reflected onto his face and everything surrounding it. Good thing lime green was his favorite color!

After so many years, there it was: his old 1947 Jeep rested in the garage, looking good as new. He was in disbelief as he inspected every inch and took a seat inside his Christmas present.

Grandpa Don stared at the dashboard and steering wheel, only looking away to see the reactions of nearby family members.

His family surprised him with a car that they rebuilt and refurbished. The lime-green vehicle was his old 1947 Jeep. It had been in the family since 1965, but sadly, it didn't run anymore. After storing the Jeep for decades, Don's sons got to work so their father could enjoy his old ride again.

If Don's reaction to his new old Jeep isn't touching, then I don't know what is.

Please SHARE this grandpa's sweet story if you would love to make someone's day just as special as Don's!
