Losing a baby is difficult for any parent, but especially mothers. Many moms like Tina Rose feel guilty for their child's passing, whether they are the victims of SIDS or birth complications or are stillborn.
But after her daughter Larkin Amelia Rose passed away, she turned to strangers for help, support, and comfort. She connected with other grieving mothers, and found her "soul mates," as reported by Stephanie Stahl for CBS Philly.
It's been about a year and a half since that sad event, but Tina has found her strength in those strangers. Now, she's giving back to them by making gift bags for other mothers who share her pain.
Inside the bags, she includes little trinkets and books that she envisions will help those moms get through the grieving process with a little more ease.
But the main message she wishes to convey is that they are not alone. There is a large community of women who take on the blame for a child's death, and who suffer in silence. These bags help them heal by forming friendships with women who have experienced the same grief.
Tina also wants these moms to know that, despite their loss, there is still hope. She's now pregnant with another child, and has found hers renewed!
