Grimes, aka Claire Elise Boucher, is not having any luck with serving former partner Elon Musk custody papers, and he’s not making it easy on her at all. The 35-year-old Canadian musician has tried to track him down in at least 12 different locations, according to some recently filed court documents.
Grimes hired four process servers to try to help as well. Her lawyer filed a supplemental proof-of-service document on November 10, 2023, stating that the papers were delivered to workers at some of Elon’s businesses instead of to him directly.
One process server tried to find the billionaire at a horse farm, but was told he wasn’t there. Another process server tracked down his private jets to try to confirm the best place to contact him.
Two of the process servers attempted to serve Elon at Shivon Zilis’ house. She is a director at Neuralink, which is one of Musk’s startups, and the mother of two of his kids. According to court documents, in one instance, the person who opened the door claimed to not know the Tesla Motors CEO.
