Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have tied the knot!
The couple officially exchanged vows in a beautiful affair at Blake's Oklahoma ranch. Blake and Gwen have been a couple for six years since meeting on NBC's The Voice.
Gwen confirmed reports that the couple had tied the knot during the 4th of July weekend with photos shared to Instagram. The couple said their "I do's" in an emotional ceremony on July 3, officiated by The Voice host and friend Carson Daly.
"Dreams do come true !!! ❤️ ," Gwen captioned the shots she shared.
Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are officially husband and wife! The country-punk power couple exchanged vows at a chapel built for the occasion on the grounds of Blake's Tishomingo, Oklahoma, ranch.
The wedding was officiated by the couple's The Voice colleague, Carson Daly. Blake and Gwen became friends on the set of the show six years ago and found themselves leaning on each other through respective divorces in mid-2015.
"It was very, very special, it was incredible to be a part of such an important moment in their lives," Carson told Today.
"The best way to describe it is it was perfectly them — the whole weekend and the marriage itself," Carson continued.
"It was as elegant and refined and cool as Gwen is, and it was as country and down-home and fun as Blake is.
"They're an unlikely pair. They're like if you pair delicious fried chicken with a glass of champagne. On paper and on the menu it doesn't seem to work, but it works. It's comfort food with class. And everybody roots for that."
In his role as officiant, Carson convinced the two to put their writing skills to work and come up with custom vows. Gwen went first, sharing spoken vows that Carson says brought the room to tears. He noted Blake said he'd have a hard time following her words until he produced a guitar.
Blake surprised everyone, including his bride, with a new song he wrote just for her and just for that moment. "He sings her a song while he was crying, one that he wrote just for her … not a dry eye in the house," Carson shared.
"It was a bunch of 'pinch-me' moments."
Carson publicly urged Blake to release the beautiful song.
Gwen's sons — 15-year-old Kingston, 12-year-old Zuma, and 7-year-old Apollo — were all a major part of the special day. There's no word on how many other attendees were there or who was included among the guests, but it looked like a pretty big affair.
For the occasion, Gwen wore two different custom Vera Wang gowns. For the ceremony, Gwen wore a custom lily white silk georgette gown with a sweetheart plunging neckline, cut-away back, fitted bodice, and high-low hand-tumbled tulle skirt. Her hair was pulled back under a chapel-length white veil that was embroidered with Gwen's and Blake's names and the names of her three sons.
For the reception, Gwen wore a custom lily white Italian silk crepe and hand-tumbled tulle strapless mini. Embroidered around the waist and on the skirt were a pair of hand-sewn lovebirds symbolizing the couple and three baby lovebirds representing the kids. She swapped out her long veil for a shorter one with floral appliqués and a white bow.
