Mitchell Green and Kaydee Gosper have been dating for seven years, and Green decided to pop the question during their trip to New Zealand.
While the two went on a helicopter ride to enjoy the beautiful snow capped mountains, the ending was supposed to involve a secret serene proposal from Green. But that wasn't Gosper's most shocking moment of the day.
To both Green and Gosper's surprise, a crash came first.
They're lucky to have survived this proposal! But they definitely have a unique engagement story to tell now.
Their love has clearly grown through the years, so after lucky number 7, Green was ready to make Gosper his wife.

His well thought out plan, during their trip to New Zealand was to propose on a beautiful snow-capped mountain when their helicopter tour landed.
But that 'plan' didn't go as planned.
Their helicopter rolled over as they landed, and Green along with the other passengers and tourists had to be taken out of the wreckage.
Gosper had Green holding onto her as they tried to walk because his legs were so severely injured.
No one was killed, and most left the scene with minor injuries, if any.
Although spirits were dwindling after such a shocking, devastating crash, Gosper's bright smile came back shortly after.
At first I'm sure they were feeling lucky, just to have survived such a crash, but soon there would be something even better to smile about.
She says to NZ Herald, "We were trying to get away from the helicopter and he said he couldn't wait anymore."
He stopped right there and put the ring on her finger.
Failing to be able to walk certainly won't stop this power couple.
Between their good looks, long, sweet relationship, and outstanding proposal story, I doubt their wedding will be anything less than incredible.
Getting through 7 years and a helicopter crash might have them prepared for anything.
Who knows, maybe their adorable pups will get in on it too.
However, I assume that they were in this exact position when their parents were out exploring.
This couple definitely deserves to have those smiles on their face, and a ring on that finger!
There is no way that anyone could have expected what happened, and there is definitely no other proposal story like there's.
Although they're celebrating in the hospital, after surgery Green should be fine, and Gosper will be there to get him prepared for the wedding.
