Heroic Mall Employee’s Act Of Kindness Gives Stressed Out Mom A Much-Needed Break

With all of the countless distractions out there in the world, being a parent is one of the most stressful things anyone could do with their life.

Gem Salter loves her family very much, but it sure can be stressful raising kids in this day and age. Her amazing husband and father to their 6-year-old son named River is very supportive, but sometimes you need all the help you can get.

River is a beautiful and intelligent little boy, and while he's doing fine in just about everything in his life, he has a bit of trouble when he's placed in new situations. That's because River has autism, which can lead to him struggling with large crowds of people and waiting in lines.

So when it came time to go back-to-school shopping for some new shoes for her son, it became clear that the huge crowds of people might make River a bit wary of the whole experience.

That's when one amazing employee of the local Clarks Shoes named Aaran came into the picture and took all of the stress that Gem was feeling, and it took it away with one simple idea.

Make sure to read the whole incredible story below if you love happy endings!

River, who has autism, might have some trouble dealing with new situations and large groups of people, but that doesn't mean his amazing mom won't protect him every step of the way and teach him to grow up with ways to fight back those issues!

Along with his silly personality, River has an amazingly unique sense of style that he can truly call his own!

But in spite of his cool style, when it came time to go back-to-school shopping, it became clear that he would have to go to the local mall and shoe store to get some shoes.

With all the other children and parents doing the same thing, the store was going to be incredibly crowded.

Along with the horrible fluorescent lights, the loud crowds, and the waiting in place, this was not going to be a very fun experience for River or his mom.

But thankfully, just as things seemed at their worst, a young employee of the store named Aaran was told that River might need a bit of extra assistance. That's when Aaran went above and beyond his job title and took River and Gem back into a staff room and placed a "do not disturb" sign on the door.

From there, Aaran brought the shoes to them to try on. Gem took a photo of the young man and posted her story to Facebook. From there, it's gone incredibly viral. Hundreds of thousands of people have read about River and Aaran, and thousands are demanding that Aaran get promoted as soon as possible!

Mom's Facebook post says it all perfectly: "Last week we brought our 6 year old son, River, to the Clarks Village outlet store in Street to be measured for school shoes. Being autistic, he really struggles with crowds, long queues and noisy places. The store was heaving!

"I knew there was no way he would cope with that environment so I explained the situation to a member of staff. Without hesitation, Aaran led us away from the noise and crowds to a staff room and placed a Do Not Disturb sign on the door. He was very patient with River, who was anxious, and went and got lots of different shoes for him to try on.

“We left with a great pair of shoes, a very happy boy- and Aaran also gave us the store number and said they’d happily book us an appointment before the store opens so that it’s quiet.
Autism acceptance at it’s best!!
Thank you Clarks in Street, and a massive thanks to the shop assistant Aaran Daniels.”

When all was said and done, we're so happy that River, Aaran, Gem, and Tim all have their lives connected now thanks to that one little experience. While River grows up, we're sure that he'll be visiting Clarks Shoes every single time he's in need. That's how you get a customer for life!

As for River and his parents, they just had a new baby, so it seems like things are going to get even more interesting in this already amazing family!

Please SHARE this adorable story if you hope Aaran gets promoted!
