There is nothing more heartbreaking for someone hoping to become a parent than to hear their bodies are preventing that from happening. The seemingly endless list of fertility issues grows by the day, transforming what should be a blessed occasion into a stressful struggle. For those dealing with that battle, it can feel all too easy to throw in the towel and give up.
When professional NFL Linebacker Will Herring and his wife Ashley tied the knot, she was ready to start having kids pretty much immediately. Eventually, they both decided they were ready for a baby and spent the next year trying. Unfortunately, Ashley knew her parents had trouble conceiving and found herself facing similar problems.
After discussing the options with their doctor, the couple decided to try a round of in vitro fertilization. When that failed, her doctor was ready to go for round two when Ashley told him, "No, I think we're good."

Ashley's response may sound shocking, especially considering how heartbroken she was by the sad news.
But just when things felt most bleak, she remembered her mom telling her she wished she would've adopted children when she had the chance.
S0, the couple decided to go that route.
Will sought advice from a teammate of his at the time who put him in touch with a local ministry in Seattle, WA.
Soon, the new parents were holding their precious baby girl, Madi, in their arms.
Ashley describes Madi as, "the best blessing," and they both thank God each day for the gift of parenthood.
After a few months with the sweet girl, the family was stunned to discover another miracle was on the way.
After struggling with fertility issues in the past, Ashley was finally able to conceive naturally!
Despite all the pain and struggle they suffered through with their fertility issues, the Herring family was growing bigger and faster than they could have ever hoped for.
Regardless of how the children entered their lives, though, Will and Ashley make sure the cuties know they are loved and cherished unconditionally.
Will explains, "What I think's the coolest thing is… whether God gave us our child through us conceiving them ourselves or through adoption, there's no difference."
And their happy family wasn't done growing just yet. They decided again to adopt, this time finding their son, Isaiah.
The precious boy fits right in with his big sisters. And it's clear there's plenty of love to go around for the whole family.
The process wasn't always easy and at times felt like an impossible challenge, but the Herrings say it was all totally worth the wait. Throughout every hardship, they said they found strength in their faith and knew that the Lord would provide. Looking at all of their beautiful faces today, it's easy to see just how that faith paid off.
